Are you passionate about bridging the gap between speech-language pathology (SLP) and applied behavior analysis (ABA)? Do you have a research study, application project, or dissemination initiative that advances evidence-based practice in these fields? SPABA offers three awards to students and professionals committed to evidence-based practice and interprofessional collaboration in the fields of SLP and ABA.

M. N. (Giri) Hegde Research Award

For empirical research that advances the evidence base for a behavior analytic conceptualization of speech, language, communication, or feeding disorders.
($500, students only)

Barbara Esch Application Award

For projects that demonstrate effective application of behavior analytic principles by SLPs, including those contributing to ABA research.
​($500, students or professionals)

Nikia Dower Dissemination Award

For initiatives that facilitate cross-discipline dissemination of accurate information about speech-language pathology and behavior analysis.
